Clemson Football Preseason 2019: Mid-camp Report
Running Backs
At the running back position, Travis Etienne is leading the way- as he should be. Etienne is working on becoming a complete running back and has really put an emphasis on his role in the passing game.
Lyn-J Dixon, the second-string RB, is about as hard of a runner as they come. The two complement each other well and are going to be tough to stop this coming season.
One of the names that keeps coming up is freshman RB Michel (Mikey) Dukes. Dukes had a 70-yard run for a touchdown in a scrimmage and is really impressing the coaching staff with his pure explosiveness and speed.
Right now, it would still be expected that veteran Darien Rencher holds the third spot with the two freshmen- Dukes and Chez Mellusi- battling it out for the fourth spot.
