9. Sammy Watkins

Sammy Watkins may be the most explosive player to ever put on a Clemson football uniform. You certainly can make the argument that he was among the top, no doubt.

Watkins, a member of the 2011 class, was the nation’s No. 4 overall wide receiver and the 20th overall player.

He certainly proved to be more valuable than that.

Watkins finished his career with 240 receptions for 3,391 yards and 28 total touchdowns. I remember watching him against Maryland in a match up that the Tigers would rally to win and how he just seemingly took over the game.

He has quietly had a solid career in the NFL and is currently playing for the Kansas City Chiefs after beginning his career with the Buffalo Bills and playing one season with the LA Rams.
