2. 2003: “Touchdown Clemson”- Todd Ellis [63-17]

Tommy Bowden, Charlie Whitehurst and the Clemson football team of 2003 had just come off an embarrassing loss to Wake Forest a couple of weeks prior to the game with South Carolina.

After the loss to the Demon Deacons, though, the Tigers turned on a switch. Clemson beat No. 3 Florida State 26-10 and then followed that up with a 40-7 thrashing of Duke.

Despite the turn in performance, analysts were still talking about how bad the Tigers were and how South Carolina under Lou Holtz was going to take care of business against Clemson.

That didn’t happen.

Clemson completely dominated this one. The Tigers won 63-17 and the game really wasn’t that close.

This game produced one of my favorite videos of all-time [seen above] as it recorded Todd Ellis’s call on the game and him having to repeat “Touchdown Clemson” over and over and over again.
