3. Dexter Lawrence

Dexter Lawrence came into the season as a projected top-five pick in the NFL Draft.

Currently, though, he has fallen out of the first round in many draft projections.

Lawrence just hasn’t been in on as many plays as we’d like to have seen him to this point. He has just 11 tackles and no sacks through the first half of the season.

While I don’t expect him to put up a bunch of sack numbers, I’d still expect him to be at more tackles than he was in his freshman or sophomore years through six games, but he’s not. As a freshman, Lawrence had 30 tackles and, as a sophomore he had 16.

I really expect him to pick up the pace and play much better in the second half of the season. Look for Big Dex’s number to be called much more and for him to be a catalyst in creating havoc up the middle. He has done that, to a point, this season, but I think you’ll see a much better effort and efficiency from him here in the second half of 2018.
