Linebacker: Kendall Joseph

Honorable Mentions: Tre Lamar, Isaiah Simmons

Linebacker is a tough position to name the “best” player.

Each linebacker brings something different to the table and each linebacker is called to do different things.

However, I believe that Kendall Joseph embodies those skills just as good as anyone. Joseph does a solid job in coverage and at stopping the run. That’s why he was moved to middle linebacker on the summer depth chart.

He is the leader of this defense.

You can’t mention talented linebackers without talking about Tre Lamar and Isaiah Simmons, as well. Lamar is the best run-stopper on this team and could develop into the best linebacker on the team.

Simmons is the best coverage linebacker. He also plays the nickel position. When I look at Simmons, I see an absolute beast. He is the perfect mixture of athleticism and physicality needed to play the position.
