The 2018 Clemson football team is a favorite to make it back to the College Football Playoff. Here is the early vegas numbers on the Tigers’ win total.

OddsShark released their “Opening College Football Win Totals” for the 2018 season and Clemson football is tied for first among those with the highest numbers to overcome.

Each year, Vegas tempts College Football fans to place bets on the totality of a year for a team.

They will place a number of wins, called a “win total,” on the season for a team and see if those betting will take the “over” or the “under”

OddsShark has Clemson football with a win total of 10.5.

Over or Under?

For entertainment purposes only, if I were looking at this win total, I would take the “over.”

Typically when a number is this high, you take the “under.” But, in Clemson’s case, I think it should be safe to say that the Tigers win 11 games.

Interestingly enough, Alabama, Georgia, and Oklahoma all have 10.5 win totals, as well.

For Bama and Georgia, I’d probably take the “over.” The Bulldogs concern me a little bit with what they lost, but I think the schedule is pretty favorable for them to get to 11 wins. They draw Auburn and LSU out of the west, but those seem to be pretty formidable games this season. We all know what the SEC East has to challenge them.

In Oklahoma’s case, I’d take the “under.”

I’m just not sold that the Sooners win 11 games this year without Baker Mayfield. The regulation of their spring game ended in a 3-3 tie. Well, I know it’s just the spring game, but I just wouldn’t touch the “over” with a nine-foot pole.
