Clemson football fans are seemingly torn on what should happen at the quarterback situation this coming fall. Here’s what they are saying.

Clemson football fans are split when it comes to the decision at quarterback for this upcoming year.

Many Tiger fans are completely on board with Kelly Bryant as the starter. Others believe Trevor Lawrence or Hunter Johnson should get a chance. Many others think the Tigers should adopt a dual-QB system where we see two, maybe even all three guys, play each game.

While we don’t have the answer yet on what the Tigers will end up doing (and won’t for a while), Rubbing the Rock took to Twitter.

We ran a poll in which 113 people voted in (I know it’s a small sample size) and came away with a pretty good idea for how Clemson football fans feel about the situation.

Split in Half…

We only ran the poll for a short time, but I think the percentages in this small sample size would play themselves out even if we went to 100,000 Clemson football fans.

Basically, the percentages are pretty much spot on to seeing how Tiger fans think about the QBs.

40 percent of the voters wanted Trevor Lawrence and 35 percent wanted Kelly Bryant. 20 percent of the voters wanted a dual-QB system and only 5 percent voted for Hunter Johnson.

There are several things that I think we can glean from this sample:

  • Trevor Lawrence is better than Kelly Bryant in the head of most Clemson fans
  • There is still a good majority of fans who believe in Kelly Bryant
  • A solid percentage of the fanbase wouldn’t be opposed to seeing both QBs play
  • The vast majority of fans have narrowed this down to a two-QB race

Those are the four things that I take away from this poll. Most Tiger fans really do believe that it’s Kelly Bryant vs. Trevor Lawrence. People came away extremely impressed with the freshman and believe he is the best option. That’s why 40 percent voted for him.

According to the poll, about 1/5th of the fanbase would like to see both quarterbacks play. While many would be completely opposed to this, it is interesting that many fans believe this could work for the Tigers.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out, but I do find it intriguing to see what Tiger nation thinks about the situation. Do you disagree that the sample size doesn’t represent the ratios for Clemson fans? What’s your gauge on what’s going on at quarterback? Comment below!
