Should Clemson football spend the summer preparing to run a dual-QB system for 2018? It might not be as crazy as it sounds.

Clemson football is a favorite to not only win the ACC Championship in 2018, but compete for a national championship.

That being said, should the Tigers do something that has historically killed College Football teams? Should Clemson prepare to run a dual-QB system?

I guess an even better question to ask would be: Can Clemson football win the national championship with a dual-QB system?

Believe it or not, I think the answer is yes.

Too much talent to sit on the bench…

I know that there are valuable lessons learned standing on the sidelines for a year for a quarterback.

But, Trevor Lawrence is just too talented to sit on the bench. He brings something special to this Clemson football team and you’ve got to find a way to get him on the field.

Kelly Bryant is also very talented.

He has great athleticism and explosiveness. Both of these guys, along with Hunter Johnson, have something to offer to this team.

So, do you pick one and run with him? I know most would say yes.

But in this circumstance, could Clemson actually pick two and run with both of them? Could it happen?

Could we see specialized packages for Kelly Bryant and Trevor Lawrence? With the spread, up-tempo offense, you can afford to switch quarterbacks without the rest of the offense paying a bunch of attention to who is on the field.

The reason that most dual-QB systems don’t work is because the quarterbacks are limited. We’ve seen that Bryant can pass the ball and that Trevor Lawrence can run the ball. That means defenses would have to stay on their heels.

Next: Trevor Lawrence is more than the 'real deal'

Could there even been a formation when you have both quarterbacks on the field at one time?

Who knows? It’s just something fun to consider here at the end as we head into summer workouts.
