Clemson football corner back Trayvon Mullen was asked about freshman quarterback Trevor Lawrence and he had nothing but good things to say.

Clemson football returned to the practice field on Monday after spring break this past week.

The Tigers have less than three weeks until the spring game in Death Valley, which is set to take place on Saturday, April 14.

Through eight practices, it is clear that freshman Trevor Lawrence is beginning to make an impact. According to coaches and players alike, Lawrence has fit right in and is continuing to improve ever single day.

Of course he still has a long way to go in learning the system and coaches say that is still learning to play at the next level, but his natural ability and instinct speak for themselves.

The latest among the players to speak on Trevor Lawrence is junior corner Trayvon Mullen, who spoke to The Clemson Insider before spring break:

"“Trevor Lawrence, he kind of stands out to me a lot,” Mullen told The Clemson Insider. “I just feel like he has grown up fast, coming in as a freshman, in knowing what to do.”"

Analysis:

Everyone knows just how good Trevor Lawrence is and the sky is the limit for how good he could be.

Lawrence is impressing his fellow teammates and coaches alike.

Now, before we go off the deep end, let’s make sure that we understand that he has a long way to go. He’s still learning the system and has a way to go before he’s ready.

The good news?

He has more than enough time to be ready.

I think by the time fall camp comes around, Lawrence may begin to take a Deshaun Watson-esque demeanor. Watson stepped in as a freshman and continued to force the coach’s hands to get playing time.

Could that be Trevor Lawrence? We will see, but it should be fun to watch.
