The Clemson football coaching staff has completely turned their attention to the 2019 and 2020 classes. The Tigers offered a 4-star offensive lineman.

The 2019 Clemson football recruiting cycle will be a very important class for the success of the program.

The Tigers will take the most players in this class that they have in years past. That means we’ll be seeing a lot of offers across the board.

One position that is always of importance is at offensive line.

4-star offensive lineman Xavier Truss announced via his Twitter page that he had received an offer from Clemson football on Friday.

A huge talent, literally…

Truss, the No. 1 offensive tackle out of the state of Rhode Island, is 6’7” and 325 pounds. When I watch his film, he reminds me a bit of Jackson Carman.

He’s not quite as towering, but definitely has the footwork and skill. He could play guard or tackle in college. At 325, I think the coaches would either try to get him to gain a little more weight and play on the interior line or lose a few pounds and play tackle.

Truss has offers from the top schools in the nation. Right now, Penn State is said to be his favorite. by a long shot.

He will take many visits across the nation before making a decision. The key for Clemson football will be getting back him on campus after he made his first visit to Tiger Town on Wednesday.
