NFL Week 10: How did the former Clemson Tigers perform?
Another week of NFL football is over, and former Clemson football players did their best to help their respective teams get a win.
Here are some players who had noteworthy performances for Week 10.
Mackensie Alexander. Alexander celebrated his 24th birthday with the best game of his young career. He intercepted a pass, had three tackles and two pass breakups in the Vikings big 38-30 win over the Washington Redskins. He became the third former Clemson player to perform well on his birthday. Deshaun Watson and Wayne Gallman got their first touchdowns on their 22nd and 23rd birthdays, respectively.
DeAndre Hopkins. Hopkins had another good day for the Houston Texans. Even without Watson under center, he had seven receptions and 111 yards. That gives him 13 catches, 197 yards and a touchdown in Watson’s absence.
Sammy Watkins. In the matchup of former Clemson receivers, Hopkins had better stats, but Watkins and the Los Angeles Rams won 33-7. Watkins finished with two catches, 41 yards and a 17 yard touchdown.
Dwayne Allen. On Sunday, the former five-year starter for the Indianapolis Colts got his first touchdown and first catch of the season. He has played special teams and only about 20 offensive snaps per game for the New England Patriots. With Martellus Bennett back with the team, Allen could see even less time on the field. The Patriots beat the Denver Broncos 41-16.
Martavis Bryant. Bryant returned this week after being inactive and regulated to the scout team because of a social media rant. In his return, he made 3 catches for 42 yards. The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Indianapolis Colts 20-17.
Mike Williams. Williams had his best game in a Los Angeles Chargers uniform against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He had two catches for 24 yards in the 20-17 overtime loss. After missing games because of a herniated disc, Williams has been slowly worked into the Chargers’ offensive plans. Coaches are regulating him to 10-20 snaps a game. In four games played, he has four catches on five targets and 46 yards.
Shaq Lawson. Lawson did his best to help the Buffalo Bills, but the New Orleans Saints were too much and left New York with a 47-10 victory. He recorded four tackles(3 solo), one tackle for loss and a pass deflection.
Carlos Watkins. The Texans’ rookie had two tackles and one tackle for loss.

Coty Sensabaugh. The six-year veteran hasn’t seen much action this season, but was able to get snaps, when Steelers’ starting cornerback Joe Haden injured his leg. Sensabaugh had three tackles and a key fourth quarter pass deflection.
