It was announced on Thursday that former Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson had a torn ACL and would miss the rest of the season with the Houston Texans.
Former Clemson quarterback Deshaun Watson will miss the rest of the season as it was reported that he tore his ACL in practice with the Houston Texans.
The rookie phenomenon had thrown for 1,699 yards and 19 touchdowns to just eight interceptions, earning an overall QB rating of 103.0.
In addition to LeBron, several other famous athletes reached out to Deshaun Watson following the news of the injury, including Odell Beckham Jr.
Beckham Jr. also suffered a season-ending injury just a couple of weeks ago, so it was good to see him taking time to reach out to Watson.
Hereโs what a few others had to say about the injury, including Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney.
Thoughts:
I absolutely hate this for Deshaun Watson. Heโs such a great kid with a huge heart. Heโs been performing so well and was on pace to put up historical numbers as a rookie.
Thereโs no doubt he will not only bounce back, but come back better than ever. Watson will be back before everyone says he will and he knows exactly what he needs to do.
I know that itโs disappointing.
Iโm sure heโs going through some tough times right now, but Watson has faced adversity before and heโll come back from just as he has in the past.

Our thoughts, and more importantly, our prayers go up for Deshaun Watson. We wish him nothing but a speedy recovery and the best as he moves forward in his NFL career.
