The Clemson football team is ranked No. 2 in the AP Poll, but a couple of AP voters disagree with that completely, apparently.

Clemson football comes into the week 6 AP Poll ranked No. 2 in the nation.

Basically every national analyst agrees that it’s Alabama, Clemson, and then everyone else.

Well, it would seem that every one would agree with that.

Apparently, Sammy Batten of the Fayetteville Observer, Scott Wolf of the Los Angeles Daily News, Ross Dellenger of The Advocate, and Steve Batterson of the Quad City Times disagree.

Scott Wolf of the LA Times and Steve Batterson of the Quad City Times have Clemson football No. 4 in their AP Poll.

Wolf has Georgia, Oklahoma, and Alabama ahead of the Tigers. Batterson has Penn State, Oklahoma, and Bama.

Thoughts:

This is why the AP Poll can’t get validation from the average fan. It’s because you have guys like this with a bias voting in the poll.

Either they have a bias, or they just don’t know what’s going on.

There’s no way you can rank Georgia, who has played one top-25 ranked team, ahead of Clemson football. There’s no way you can rank Penn State ahead of Clemson.

A couple of analysts also have Bama third behind Clemson and Oklahoma.

In my opinion, I think you have to have Clemson and Bama first and second. Then whoever you have after that can be debated.

If you don’t have those two first, you either have an agenda or you’re just not paying attention. Overall, none of these guys care what people think about their opinion, but it shows the flaws in the AP Poll and why there was a need to change the BCS system.
