Clemson football released its official depth chart for the Virginia Tech game. Running back Tavien Feaster has officially earned the starting spot.

The Clemson football team officially released its depth chart for the Virginia Tech game.

The Tigers will take on the Hokies in a game featured on ESPN College GameDay at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Both teams come into the game undefeated and Clemson football is ranked No. 2 while Virginia Tech is ranked No. 12 in the AP Poll.

One of the biggest changes to the depth chart, however, happened at running back.

Sophomore Tavien Feaster is now listed as the starter. Feaster actually got the start on Saturday against Boston College, but it’s official now.

We’ve been saying that Feaster should be the starter for a while now.

I think he’s proven that he can do the other things that running backs need to do. He was a lead blocker in a big run for Kelly Bryant.

He rushed 20 times for 73 yards against Boston College, but that was against a very good defense without much offensive line help.

I was still impressed with what he was able to do and I think that number will go up over 100 yards this week.

The rest of the depth chart for Clemson football at running back is listed as such:

  • C.J. Fuller
  • or Adam Choice
  • Travis Etienne

I believe you’ll see all three of these guys early against Virginia Tech.

I love what we’ve seen from freshman Travis Etienne. Etienne was the MVP of the game as he rushed for two huge touchdowns in the fourth quarter.

He’s the hardest runner on the team and I believe you may see him ascend up the depth chart as the season progresses.
