Offensive line: C

Clemson’s offensive line struggled mightily against the Boston College front seven. The Eagles put consistent pressure on Kelly Bryant throughout the entire game. Clemson’s issues offensively in this one can be traced back to the play of their offensive line.

One play in particular depicted the lack of effort that the Tigers’ showed for majority of the game. All-American left tackle, Mitch Hyatt was absolutely dominanted by Boston College defensive end, Harold Landry, resulting in an interception. Landry is far from a slouch, however, Hyatt has been successful against elite edge rushers in the past. There is no reason why Landry should bull rush his way to the quarterback against the Tigers’ best offensive lineman.

Despite starting off slow against the Eagles, the Tigers’ finished with an impressive fourth quarter. Hyatt and company opened gaping holes for each of Clemson’s running backs, en-route to a 27 point surge.
