The 2017 College Football season got off to a blistering start. Here are my picks against the spread heading into week two.
If you are one of the individuals who picked, Liberty to upset Baylor; or Howard to upset UNLV, than I’m sure your pockets are a little fatter entering week two. On the flip side, if you picked Texas A&M to defeat UCLA, than you may never watch college football again.
Either way, here are the College Football picks against the spread for week two. All of the current odds are provided by SportsBookReview.com.
Middle Tennessee State vs. Syracuse
Current Spread: -8 Syracuse
Spread prediction: While Middle Tennessee State has one of the best wide receivers in the country in Richie James, they do not have enough as a team to compete with Syracuse. The Orange are far from competitive in the ACC, however, I expect them to make a considerable jump in their second season under Dino Babers. The Blue Raiders lost 28-6 vs. Vanderbilt, I don’t see them getting within eight points of Syracuse’s high flying offense.
Western Michigan vs. Michigan State
Current Spread: +4 Western Michigan
Spread prediction: Western Michigan gave Sam Darnold and USC all that they could handle a week ago. Michigan State may be in the Big Ten, however, their talent level is not that much better than Western Michigan. Combine that with State’s inexperience at quarterback and I believe Western Michigan will pull within three points at the least.
TCU (23) vs. Arkansas

Current Spread: +2 TCU
Spread prediction: While two points may not be a wide margin at all, I have TCU beating Arkansas out right. I respect Brent Beliema, however, I do not foresee the Razorbacks, beating Gary Paterson and TCU two years in a row.
Oklahoma (5) vs. Ohio State (2)
Current Spread: -6 Ohio State
Spread prediction: Oklahoma returns Heisman hopeful, Baker Mayfield at quarterback, however, he was unable to produce against the Buckeyes a season ago. This time around, Mayfield has even less weapons at his dispense against this talented Ohio State defense. On the flip side of the Oklahoma will struggle mightily. The Sooners haven’t been relevant on defense since Brent Venables departed for Clemson.

Again, my picks against the spread are as follows, -8 Syracuse, +4 Western Michigan, +2 TCU and -6 Ohio State. What are your picks against the spread going into the weekend?
