3. It could put more pressure on Clemson

Like it or not, Clemson football is now the favorite to win the ACC Atlantic. That was not the case going into the season.

Some analysts will pick Louisville and others may still go with Florida State’s talent around the QB, but let’s face it, the Tigers are now the popular pick.

That could put more pressure on Clemson football.

It depends how you look at it. The Tigers could be unaffected by this. It very well may not factor in at all. That’s what I’d expect.

But, I’ve also seen that Dabo Swinney coached teams play better as the underdog.

They come out more focused when they have some kind of disrespect.

Even this season, they could play the “We’re No. 5 after winning the National Championship” card. While the Tigers are still favorites, this could- in turn- put more pressure on them.

Hopefully, Clemson will not listen to the media who are changing their picks.

These teams have done a great job showing up and being ready and I don’t expect anything different from Coach Swinney and company.

The Florida State game is still two months away and this Clemson football team has a lot to do before then. They will be focused on Auburn.

Overall, the whole “pressure” thing won’t build until we get closer to November and the Florida State game, but it will be interesting to see how this whole season goes after the injury to Francois and to see who the top teams really are, not just in the ACC, but in the nation after his injury.

We, along with the rest of Clemson nation, wish him nothing but a speedy and full recovery going forward!
