The Clemson football program routed Kent State 56-3 in their week one matchup. Here’s the positional grades for the Tigers’ impressive performance.

Clemson set a school record for most points scored in a season opener on Saturday. The Tigers were dominant in all three phases of the game.

On the defensive side of the ball, Clemson was flying to the ball, limiting the Golden Flashes to just 120 total yards of offense. It was clear that Kent State was shell shocked from the onset, running the football was getting them nowhere and they weren’t willing to take to the air. Quarterback, Nick Holley attempted just five passes throughout the entire game, completing just one of those passes.

Clemson’s offense was humming under the direction of Kelly Bryant. The junior quarterback was poised in his first collegiate start, completing 72 percent of his passes for 236 yards and one touchdown. He also led the Tigers’ to touchdowns on each of their first three drives of the game.
