The ACC Network posted a Clemson Football 2017 hype on their twitter page earlier this afternoon.
The Clemson football program has dominated the ACC for the past two seasons, losing just one conference game during that span of time. Coming off of their second straight conference title, the Tigers enter 2017 with a target on their back.
During the offseason, fans and media alike were focused on all of the talent that Clemson lost, rather than the talent that they return. Yes, leaders such as Deshaun Watson and Ben Boulware have moved on to the NFL, however, the cupboard is far from bare.
In the hype video, there is a snippet of Dabo Swinney stating, “Last years touchdowns aren’t going to win this year, last years sacks aren’t going to win this year.” In order for Clemson to maintain their standard of success in 2017, the players must take that statement to heart. It will be difficult now, more so than ever, to walk away with a win each week, because the Tigers are coming off of a championship.
