No. 4 – Jacques Patrick (RB) Florida State

Jacques Patrick is not a secret to anyone in the ACC, however, his talent has been overshadowed by Dalvin Cook for the past two seasons. With Cook off to the NFL, Patrick’s time has finally arrived.

Florida State signed two talented running backs in Cam Akers and Khalan Laborn, both of whom may play in 2017. That being said, Patrick will take the lionshare of carries for the Seminoles this fall.

Standing 6-foot-3, 231 pounds, Patrick is a human freight train. He is the size of a defensive lineman with the speed of a defensive back. Over the past few years in college football we have seen the impact that bigger running backs can have, i.e. Derrick Henry, Leonard Fournette. Not only are they tough to tackle, but, their imposing frames effect the psyche of opposing defenders.

During his two seasons behind Cook, Patrick has logged 124 carries for 664 yards and nine touchdowns. He has also proved himself to be an able pass catcher early on in his career.

The ‘Noles need to establish a strong running game to support young gunslinger, Deondre Francois.
