The Clemson football program woke up to huge news this Friday morning, when 4-star athlete, Kyler McMichael announced his commitment.

McMichael took to twitter this morning to announce his intentions.
Leading up to McMichaelâs decision, many were confused as to where he would end up. Clemson had been perceived as the favorite in his recruitment for the past few months, however, Alabama and Auburn had gained some steam as of late.
As I predicted yesterday afternoon, McMichaelâs visitâs to Auburn, Alabama and Tennessee were more of a formality than anything. He was simply crossing his Tâs and dotting his Iâs similar to fellow Clemson commit Darnell Jefferies.

McMichael is a huge get for Clemson, not only because he fills a position of need, but, also because he gives the Tigers another victory in the state of Georgia. The Peach State seemingly churns out elite high school football talent and Clemson wishes to be the beneficiary of that talent.
Having McMichael on board with Trevor Lawrence should help the Tigers persuade a pair of elite Georgia lineman, Trey Hill and Jamaree Salyer, to Death Valley. Clemsonâs work is far from done in the Peach state. At the moment they are hot on the trail of fellow 2018 defensive back, Quindarious Monday.
In McMichael, Clemson is getting an explosive athlete capable of playing either corner, or safety. At 6-foot, 190 pounds, McMichael is as long and physical as they come in the secondary. He reminds me of recent 2017 signee, A.J. Terrell because of his ball skills and lanky frame.
