1. Jackson Carman (OT)

Out of all the film that I have watched, Jackson Carman is the most dominant player in the 2018 recruiting class in my opinion.

Carman currently resides in Ohio, however, after visiting Clemson the Tigers shot up to the top of his list. It will be interesting to see if Clemson is able to capitalize off of that momentum. Carman will be on hand for Ohio State’s spring game this afternoon.

Need-

Clemson currently has viable options at tackle in Sean Pollard and Mitch Hyatt, however, the ladder of the two may be able to enter the draft following the 2017 season.

Should Hyatt leave for the draft after his junior season, the Tigers would have a glaring hole at left tackle. With Jackson Carman that hole would be all but filled, Carman is college ready right now. With his rare athleticism and tenacity he is capable of anchoring the Tigers offensive line from day one.

Outlook-

Clemson’s surge up Jackson’s list may have been a knee-jerk reaction, however, I think the Tigers have the recruiting prowess to go the distance with the likes of in-state power, Ohio State.

Not only did Clemson win the 2016 National Championship, but they dismantled Ohio State 31-0 en route to winning the National Championship. That paired with the infectious atmosphere and state-of-the-art facilities at Clemson make the Tigers a serious threat in Carman’s recruitment.
