Can Clemson gain ground in recruitment of 5-star OT Jackson Carman?
Today, March 27 the Clemson Tigers are set to receive an unofficial visit from Jackson Carman, the No. 1 offensive tackle prospect in the 2018 recruiting class.
Hailing from the state of Ohio, the hometown Buckeyes currently hold all of the 247sports crystal ball predictions for Carman. It will be tough to pull Carman from the vice grips of Urban Meyer, one of the best recruiters in the country.
That being said, difficult does not mean impossible. If anybody can flip a prospect it is Dabo Swinney and Clemson. Combine the new state-of-the-art facilities with the genuine family atmosphere and you’ve got yourself a recruiting juggernaut.
Carman would be a strong addition to Clemson’s talented 2018 recruiting class. The Tigers already hold commitments from six prospects, including the No. 1 overall prospect in the country according to 247sports, quarterback Trevor Lawrence. A few members of the 2018 recruiting class were tweeting at Carman earlier in the week.
Clemson must recruit Carman with a sense of urgency, as he is a special talent at tackle and they could be losing left tackle, Mitch Hyatt to the NFL following the 2017 season. Carman has the talent to step right in and fill that void.

If you haven’t done so already do yourself a favor and go watch Jackson Carman’s tape. Not only is he extremely athletic, but, he is flat out nasty on the field. When Carman gets a hold of you he is going to drive you into the ground and keep you there.
