The NIT is tournament comprised of 32 teams who were unable to earn a bid to the NCAA tournament. The first two rounds of the NIT are not played on a neutral court, rather, they are played on the home court of the higher seed. The last two rounds of this years NIT are set to be played in Madison Square Garden from March 28-30.
Dratings.com currently has Clemson slotted as a five seed in the NIT. The Tigers have an opportunity to build towards next season with a strong performance in the NIT. In all likelihood, head coach Brad Brownell will be back next season. As such he must use the extra practice time in the NIT to fix Clemson’s issues going into next year.
