Clemson football: Tigers won’t miss a beat despite recent transfers
The Clemson football program has lost three players to transfer since winning the National Championship. Graduate transfers, Adrian Baker and Scott Pagano are receiving interest from dozens of programs across the country as is sophomore transfer, Jake Fruhmorgen.
Clemson Football 2017
Despite losing Baker, Pagano, and Fruhmorgen the Clemson football program will be just fine in 2017. The three of them are all capable starters, however, Clemson was able to win at a high rate without them.

Take Baker for instance, whom missed the entire 2016 season due to a knee injury. Clemson’s secondary was able to play just as good if not better in his absence, en route to a National Championship.
Jake Fruhmorgen was a starter at right tackle coming out of fall camp. During his short stint as a starter Fruhmorgen was impressive, however, the Tigers offensive line remained consistent after Fruhmorgen left the team for personal issues.
Scott Pagano, as good as he was, was not a full time starter for the Tigers. Pagano was apart of Clemson’s deep rotation along the defensive line. If there was any unit on the field that Clemson could afford to lose a player at, it would be on the defensive line. With the depth and talent that Clemson has along the defensive line, I expect them to be even better in 2017.

Transfers are inevitable in the world of College Football. What’s important is that these players find a University that fits them best and that they are happy with the decision they make going forward. Dabo Swinney and his staff are not one to publicly shame a kid for wanting to transfer. In fact, they have nothing but good things to say about majority of the players that leave the program, which speaks to their character as people.
