College Football Playoff

After breaking down the Power-Five Conferences, this is the final four I came up with for the College Football Playoff and their predicted records.

(1) Clemson (12-0)

(2) Notre Dame (11-1)

(3)  Michigan (11-1)

(4) Alabama (10-2)

Others considered: Florida State, Oklahoma, Washington

I like Oklahoma out of the Big 12, but I fully believe they- like Washington out of the Pac-12- will lose two games. That puts them behind the Crimson Tide in terms of rankings and leaves them out at No. 5.

Clemson finds a way to go undefeated, but I also believe the Tigers could be 11-1 with a loss to the schedule.

The Fighting Irish check in at No. 2 going 11-1 with a loss to the schedule. They could lose to a team like Stanford or possibly Michigan State, but those are both early games and that name on the front of their uniforms get them in fairly easy.

I hate Michigan, but they have the easiest schedule in all of the Power-5. They have two legitimate opponents all season long and they don’t come until later in the schedule. The Wolverines lose one, but still find themselves in the CFB Playoff mix after winning the Big Ten Title.

I also think you could see FSU (should they go 11-1)  vying for that No. 4 spot over 10-2 Bama, but the committee- in my opinion- will ultimately put the Crimson Tide as a 10-2 SEC Champion in over the Seminoles.
