Clemson Football: Sweet Home, Death Valley
By Ben Greeson
Oct. 25th NC State
Shootout, gunslinger, old fashion donny-brook, track meet. However you choose to describe the last few meetings in the Textile Bowl, it’s been fun. Clemson football holds an all time record of 55-28-1 versus the Wolfpack. In fact, NC State has only won once (2011) since 2004. This game has
provided enough fireworks to light up the New York City skyline and enough yards to provide a seasons worth of stats for some teams.
Scores of 56-41, 41-0, and 62-48 haven’t always been the case in this series that dates back to 1899 (a 10-0 Clemson win by the way).
NC State will be starting a new quarterback this time around as Jacoby Brissett used all of his eligibility.
That may be the difference in this one, as the Tigers have arguably the best QB in the country.
