3. Clemson can contend in the trenches

This is where Alabama better hope that I’m wrong. If I’m right, there’s a 100% guarantee that Clemson wins the National Championship. What do I mean? If Clemson football can contend in the trenches, there is no chance Alabama beats the Tigers.

If you listen to any mainstream media or Alabama fan site, what you will find is that Alabama has a great advantage on the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball.

The Tide better hope that the analysts are right.

More from Clemson Football

If Clemson can just compete in the trenches, meaning the offensive line is able to do what is has done all season and the defensive line is able to get any kind of push and limit Henry’s effectiveness, Clemson will win the game.

If Alabama overwhelms Clemson’s offensive line and the defensive line is not able to get into the backfield, the Crimson Tide will win the game. To be honest, this is where the game will be won or lost for both teams.

If it is 50/50 and both lines are about even, the advantage goes to Clemson. The Tigers’ offensive line and defensive line have to play their best game of the season and should they contend with Alabama’s line, they will win the game.

The Crimson Tide have an extremely talented group of linemen on both sides of the ball, but so does Clemson. At the end of the day, I believe the Tigers will be able to contend with Alabama in the trenches and that will lead to a Tiger victory, despite what national pundits may think.
