The Clemson vs Notre Dame game is approaching quickly and the eyes of the nation will be watching. Here’s what some of the players said about the match up.
The Clemson vs Notre Dame game may be the biggest match up in recent history for the Tigers as the entire nation will be watching. This game certainly has national championship repercussions for both teams and the winner puts themselves in the driver seat for the College Football Playoff. There hasn’t been a lot of overt trash-talk from the players, but both teams have definitely taken some covert shots in their interviews today.

The undercover trash-talking began when Notre Dame wide receivers Will Fuller and Chris Brown said the game against Clemson was going to be “savage.”
"Clemson"
"Best believe I'm getting in on this SAVAGE Season !"
Personally, I love that Fuller and Brown went ahead and put out their thoughts. The worst thing for the Tigers in the Clemson vs Notre Dame game would be to not have any motivation (as if College Gameday and National Television wasn’t enough) going into the game. Jayron Kearse decided to respond to the tweets today when he was interviewed in the West End Zone by the media.
"“I actually favorited that tweet. It is what it is,” he said via Tigernet. “We will see when we get out there on Saturday after the kickoff. We will see on Saturday whether he still has that same mindset.”"
I think the best thing that can happen is have a Mackenzie Alexander, Cordrea Tankersley, and Jayron Kearse trying to prove themselves. The Clemson defense is nasty and those tweets certainly won’t decide the outcome of the game, but may give the secondary a little more motivation to carry them through the game.
