Key 5: Establish the Run Game
This is going to be huge for Clemson football not because they need the run game against Wofford, but you want to see guys get lathered up and gain some confidence going forward. No, you won’t have to rush for 200 yards to beat Wofford, but you need your backs to show some life and run the ball hard.

Clemson has four to five guys that will see the field at running back this season. Wayne Gallman will start and he will be backed up by the likes of C.J. Davidson, Tyshon Dye, C.J. Fuller, and Zac Brooks. All of these guys need to get some carries and game experience over these next two weeks. You want to create some balance within your offense and if Clemson can have a strong running game, that will just open up the passing game that much more.
The Tigers can keep opposing defenses on their heels and keep them guessing. That’s what you want if you’re a Tiger fan and hopefully we see Clemson run the ball 40-50 times tomorrow, getting all of those running backs involved.
