Here is everything you need to know for the 2016 ACC Baseball Tournament including game times, pools, how to watch, tiebreakers, and more.

With the 2016 ACC Baseball Tournament about to get underway, here is all the information you need to know including game times, pools, seeding, how to watch, what happens in the case of a tie and much more.

Pool A:                                                                                              Pool B:

#1 Miami                                                                                       #2 Louisville

# 4: Florida State                                                                        #3 Virginia

#5 NC State                                                                                 #6 Clemson

#8 Boston College or #9 Georgia Tech                                  #7 Duke or #10 Wake Forest

The Clemson baseball team locked up the No. 6 seed in the ACC Baseball Tournament and will avoid the play-in game.

Here is the Tiger’s pool schedule:

Thursday: Clemson vs UVA, 11 a.m.

Friday: Clemson vs Louisvlle, 11 a.m.

Saturday: Clemson vs Duke/Wake Forest, 11 a.m.

Here is a full schedule for every team in the tournament.

The Tigers will be forced to play all three of their games at 11 a.m. which may be a disadvantage or an advantage. Either way, that’s how the cards fell, so that’s what Clemson baseball will have to do in order to advance on to the Championship game.

Here are tiebreakers, directly from theacc.com that decide who will advance to the ACC Baseball Tournament Championship game in the event of a tie.

"(1) Two Teams Tied:(a) The team that won the head-to-head competition in championship games will advance.(2) Three Teams Tied:a) The team with the best overall conference winning percentage in regular season play will advance.(b) The team with the best head to head conference winning percentage among the tied teams in regular season play, provided that all teams were common opponents during the regular season, will advance.(c) The team with the highest seed in the respective bracket will advance."

Basically, this means that if the Tigers finish in a 3-way tie, there will be now way for them to advance to the championship game.

If, however, there is a two-team tie, the team that won the head-to-head match-up will advance. Personally, I think pool play is not the best way to determine a champion, but it’s the system we have and that’s what we’ll have to deal with.

How to Watch:

All games during the ACC Baseball Tournament will be broadcasted regionally and shown on ESPN 3, but they will be subject to blackout. Basically, if you live in the South Carolina, Georgia, or North Carolina area, you probably will not be able to stream the games on ESPN 3.

More from Rubbing the Rock

You should be able to view most of the games on Fox Sports Carolinas and even stream them off the link attached if you have the proper television provider, but the games will be shown on other networks across the nation. Check out your regional sports network to see where you can view the game.

The ACC Baseball Tournament Championship Game- played on Sunday at 12 p.m.- will be broadcasted on ESPN 2 and will, therefore, be available on the WatchESPN app.

Tickets:

If you are looking to purchase tickets and head up to Durham Bulls, you can go to the link provided here.

You can get the entire Clemson Baseball package for $34.98 per person, which is not bad for a few week day baseball games.

Bottom Line:

We will be previewing the ACC Baseball Tournament in-depth as Thursday gets closer here. The Tigers have three more chances to go out and prove to the NCAA Selection Committee that they deserve to host a regional.

In my opinion, I think Clemson baseball needs to win two.

If they could beat the winner of Duke and Wake Forest and then split with Virginia and Louisville, they would finish the season with 40 wins and that should be good enough to host.
