Who are the future opponents for Clemson Football?

With the addition of East Carolina, Clemson Football now knows 58 of the next 60 opponents after the 2024 season. Here is a look at who they will play if they don't change conferences before 2029.

Clemson Football recently announced a future matchup with the East Carolina Pirates. The game will be played at Clemson Memorial Stadium in 2029, and it will be the first game ever played between the two programs.

Fans who follow the sport know it is in a constant state of change these days, and a lot could change before 2029. It is still a smart move to get the opponents you want scheduled, even if you must adjust later. East Carolina is in a neighboring state and has a loyal fanbase, and it makes sense to schedule regional opponents given that the conference slate could change notably in the next few years.

This locks up all the non-conference spots for Clemson Football through 2029 except two. Since we know the ACC’s plan for conference opponents through 2030, we now know 58 of the 60 opponents that the Tigers will face over the next five seasons after 2024 if they are still in the ACC.

Even if the Tigers move to another conference, there is a chance that some or all of their scheduled non-conference opponents will remain in place, or simply become a league game.

Here are the opponents for Clemson Football from 2025 to 2029.

The 2025 schedule

Non-conference opponents: Furman, LSU, at South Carolina, and Troy

Conference home opponents: Duke, Florida State, SMU, and Syracuse

Conference away opponents: Boston College, Georgia Tech, Louisville, and North Carolina

The 2026 Schedule

Non-conference opponents: Charleston Southern, Georgia Southern, at LSU, and South Carolina

Conference home opponents: Georgia Tech, Miami, North Carolina, and Virginia Tech

Conference away opponents: California, Duke, Florida State, and Syracuse

The 2027 Schedule

Non-conference opponents: Notre Dame, at South Carolina, and Wofford

Note: The Tigers have not announced their fourth non-conference opponent for 2027. Presumably, it will be a Group of Five program.

Conference home opponents: Boston College, Florida State, Stanford, and Wake Forest

Conference away opponents: Louisville, NC State, SMU, and Virginia Tech

Non-conference opponents: The Citadel, at Notre Dame, South Carolina, and Troy

Conference home opponents: Louisville, NC State, Pittsburgh, and Syracuse

Conference away opponents: Florida State, Georgia Tech, Stanford, and Virginia

The 2029 Schedule

Non-conference opponents: East Carolina, Georgia, and at South Carolina
