Clemson Football announces a new non-conference matchup

Clemson Football has announced a new non-conference game for the 2029 season.

The Tigers will play the East Carolina Pirates in Death Valley.

The Pirates become the third known non-conference opponent for the 2029 season after Georgia and South Carolina.

This will be the first game played between the two programs, which is hard to believe considering their relative proximity.

The fourth opponent for 2029 will most likely be an in-state FCS program. The only open spot for a non-conference opponent left on the schedule before 2029 is in 2027 when the Tigers have Notre Dame, Wofford, and South Carolina scheduled.

Clemson Rowing announces their new head coach

Clemson Rowing has hired Adrienne Martelli as their new head coach.

Martelli boasts an impressive resume as an athlete and a coach. She was a First Team All-American at Washington and won a bronze medal at the 2012 London Olympics. She has been on the staff at California for the past five seasons and will be coaching on the 2024 Paris Olympic team staff this summer.

"We are thrilled to have a coach of Adrienne Martelli’s caliber as a competitor and coach leading our Rowing program and welcome her to the Clemson Family. Our Rowing program has the pieces in place to be among the most competitive in the nation, and Coach Martelli brings with her a wealth of experience at the highest levels of the sport, while also placing a high value on education. We’re excited for the future of Clemson Rowing."
