Former Clemson stars showed out as rookies in their first taste of the NFL. However, one stood out. Nate Wiggins was the highest-graded first-round rookie last weekend.

Pro Football Focus gave Wiggins an overall grade of 89.2 in Baltimore's preseason loss to Philadelphia. Not only was it the best grade of any first-rounder, but it was the tenth-best of all rookies.

He was targeted often but only gave up eight yards. He finished with three tackles, two solo, and an outstanding three passes defended. PFF gave Wiggins a coverage grade of 90.2 and a 42.4 passer rating.

Unfortunately, Wiggins was injured during his first outing, but it doesn't look that serious. When the media asked Coach John Harbough about its severity on Sunday, he responded, "Wiggins' is not a serious injury... Obviously, we'll continue to do some tests tonight and tomorrow to make sure, but first, indications are that he's fine."
