EA Sports designed Clemson Football as a Top 10 program in College Football 25

EA Sports ranking for Clemson Football in their new game has created a lot of conversation and surprises.

Top 10 Defenses

I did expect Clemson to show up on this list and I wasn’t disappointed.

The Tigers are at No. 5. That isn’t bad at all. Let’s look at who is ahead of them.

Ohio State = yes. Jim Knowles is one of the best in the game.

Georgia = affirmative. We knew the Bulldogs would be good.

Oregon? The Ducks were Top 10 in points allowed last season and just outside the Top 20 in yards allowed. Solid inclusion but No. 3 might be gracias.

Then Alabama. Same comment as the offense. Good on paper but we’ll have to wait and see.

If there is a team that I thought would be higher here, it’s Penn State. Then again, Manny Diaz left for Duke. The Nittany Lions brought in another former head coach to run the defense, Tom Allen (dismissed from Indiana – remember that 2020 season with Michael Penix, Jr?), so I tend to think they should be very good again.

All in all, a respectable ranking for a Tiger defense that many believe will be very good in 2024.
