Nolan Nawrocki decides Columbia is the right place for him

We’ve seen several Clemson Baseball transfers elect to continue their careers with the South Carolina Gamecocks. Both Dylan Brewer and Jonathan French decided to follow Monte Lee to Columbia.

Earlier this offseason, Nathan Hall committed to the Gamecocks after just one season in Clemson’s program. Hall was originally recruited to Clemson by Lee.

Now another Clemson transfer has announced that he will go to South Carolina, and this one has nothing to do with Lee.

Nolan Nawrocki will be moving to Columbia after a solid freshman season at Clemson.

Nawrocki originally committed to Erik Bakich at Michigan. When Bakich took the Clemson job, Nawrocki flipped to the Tigers. He is the first Clemson to South Carolina transfer who didn’t originally commit to Monte Lee.

Other news and notes from around Clemson athletics:

Work continues on the renovations to Jervey Gym.

Clemson Volleyball will host the Orange vs Purple Scrimmage in Jervey on August 17th. They will open their home regular season on Thursday, September 19th against Kennesaw State.

247Sports recently ranked the best playmaking duos of all-time in college football, and Tiger alums Trevor Lawrence and Travis Etienne were ranked 9th.

The list was compiled by Gamecock aficionado Brad Edwards, so it is understandable if you question the objectivity. This time, however, the names on this list ahead of T-Law and ETN are solid.

Thank you to Jon Blau of the Charleston Post & Courier for pointing out that former Clemson Football player Ajou Ajou is on the roster for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League.
