Clemson Women’s Basketball adds a combo guard transfer

Clemson Women’s Basketball has added another transfer player. Mia Moore is a 5’-6” guard who previously played at UAB and Mississippi State.

Head coach Shawn Poppie has recruited Moore before.

"She is someone I’ve known for quite some time as I recruited her back during COVID on numerous Zoom calls. Although she turned me down two times, the third time was the charm. Mia had a great season this past year at UAB as she was finally healthy and able to show the true version of herself."

The Tigers now have 15 players on their roster for 2024-25.

Valerie Cagle was one of 15 athletes drafted Tuesday in the Athletes Unlimited Softball College Draft. Cagle was selected first overall to join the pro competition.

Clemson Track & Field places several athletes on All-ACC teams

Clemson Track & Field placed well in the ACC Outdoor Championships, with the Women’s team at second and the Men’s Team at sixth. They also placed several individual members on All-ACC squads.

Other news and notes from around Clemson Athletics:

Clemson Women’s Lacrosse announced that they had the 8th-best attendance in the nation this season.

This is an impressive accomplishment for a program in only its second season of play.

Clemson Baseball did not play Tuesday night as scheduled. Their game at Coastal Carolina was canceled due to inclement weather. This late in the season, there are few avenues to reschedule a midweek contest.
