Clemson Track & Field is making its mark on the NCAA Championships
The Outdoor NCAA Track & Field Championships have commenced in Eugene, Oregon.
Several Clemson Track & Field athletes are participating in the four-day event.
Wednesday began the men’s competitions, and the Tigers had some noteworthy finishes.
Courtney Lawrence finished 5th in the shot put and has been named a First-Team All-American.
Ethan Cocco earned Second-Team All-American status in the javelin.
Tarees Rhoden advanced to the finals of the 800 meter, which will be run on Friday.
Women’s competition begins today.
Clemson Women’s Basketball adds another transfer
Head coach Shawn Poppie has been working hard to assemble his roster for the 2024-25 Clemson Women’s Basketball season, which will be his first with the program.
Poppie has recruited several transfers to the program and now he has added another. Jordy Griggs is joining the Tigers.
Griggs played for Kentucky as a freshman before entering the transfer portal this offseason. She is 6’-2” and is a guard/forward combo.

Clemson Softball alum McKenzie Clark has signed with Athletes Unlimited for their upcoming softball season.
Clark will participate in the Pro Softball AUX competition, which will be held June 10-25 in Wichita, Kansas.
As you might have seen yesterday, Clemson Football received their first verbal commitment coming out of the Official Visit weekend from Grayson Littleton. They might not have to wait long before getting another.
Rowan Byrne, who also took an official visit to Clemson this past weekend, announced that he will reveal his verbal commitment at 2:30 PM Eastern today.
There have been six Crystal Balls logged in the last 24 hours on 247Sports for Byrne to select the Tigers. His other finalists are Florida State, Michigan State, Penn State, Stanford, and Texas A&M.
