It took six weeks, but Clemson finally returned to the starting line.

The preseason Coaches Poll pegged the Tigers as the 14th-best team in the nation, but they dropped to No. 22 after losing to Georgia in week one. Week after week, Clemson crawled back with dominant wins over Appalachian State, NC State, and yesterday, Stanford. Now, they're finally back to where they began.

The US LBM Coaches Poll released its week five results today, moving Clemson from No. 15 to No. 14 after beating Stanford. While fans might like to attribute the move up to something the Tigers did on the field, it had more to do with Utah being crushed by Arizona. The Utes dropped eight places to No. 18, moving the teams behind them up at least one spot.

Clemson is the second-best ACC team in the Coaches Poll, with Miami coming in at No. 8. The third and finally ACC team to make the Coaches Poll is Louisville, which dropped five spots after its 31-24 loss to Notre Dame.
