We aren’t expecting much action from Clemson Football during the standard signing period for high school prospects in February, so the next event on the Tigers’ calendar is spring practices.
The NCAA allows schools to hold fifteen practices during the spring. Twelve of those practices can involve contact.
Some schools begin as early as February, but most begin in March and wrap up before the end of April.
Clemson, like most schools, finishes their spring with a Spring Game. Only six schools have announced the date for their spring games so far, all in April.
The Tigers have not made a formal announcement regarding the timing of their spring practices and the Spring Game, but we can gather a few hints based on the school calendar.
Clemson’s Spring Break is March 18-22. Typically the team will give the players a break during that time, and it often dictates how the balance of the practices are scheduled.
2023’s spring break started on March 20th, so this year’s calendar is very similar to last year’s.
Clemson played their 2023 Spring Game on April 15th, so the most likely dates for the 2024 Spring Game are April 13th or April 20th.
Using similar logic, we can probably expect spring practices to begin sometime during the week of March 4th.

My best guess will be that the Spring Game will be on April 13th for one big reason: recruiting.
The NCAA has declared March 4th through April 14th to be a quiet period for recruiting. This means prospects may visit college campuses, but the staff may not visit the prospects off-campus.
That quiet period is the perfect time to have spring practice and host prospects at Clemson. They can play the spring game on April 13th, and the following Monday a new contact period opens. Clemson coaches will be able to visit recruits and try to get as many of their top targets as possible to commit to official visits during the first week of June.
There is no official timetable for when Clemson Football will announce a formal spring schedule, but we should find out sometime during the next month.
