Keys to the game for Clemson football vs Georgia
Red zone scoring
Jake Crain of Crain and Company argued earlier this week that Clemson won't be able to score enough against Georgia to win the game. He went on to talk about the dip in talent compared to what Clemson had in the past. Whether you believe that or not, he is right in essence. Can Clemson keep up with Georgia on offense? Instead, I think the question needs to focus on red zone efficiency.
The Tigers were awful in the red zone on offense last season. Clemson scored on 71.15 percent of its red zone trips, which made them the 127th FBS team out of 133. In comparison, Clemson made good on 92.98 percent the year before. When the Tigers have opportunities, they need to take advantage.
Things like turnovers could be the equalizer in this game if Clemson can capitalize on it. Georgia is too good to not, and Clemson still wins.
