Three Clemson football players make the 2024 Lombardi Award watch list

On Thursday, the Rotary Club of Houston announced 90 players on this year‘s Lombardi Award watch list.

Since 1970, the Lombardi Award has been given to the “offensive or defensive lineman who displays exceptional performance and ability and embodies the character and discipline that Vince Lombardi throughout his life,” as the awards website explains. So far, Clemson has never had a player win the award. 

Some of the most notable winners are Julius Peppers, Ndamukong Suh, Aaron Donald, and Will Anderson. This year, the Rotary club selected 11 players from the ACC, which includes linebacker Barrett Carter, Offensive tackle Blake Miller, and defensive tackle Peter Woods from Clemson.
