Big Game Boomer is a troll. Pure and simple. Unfortunately, he is an expert troll, and he used that to become very well-known, and Clemson fans are as responsible for that as anyone.

BGB has no actual credentials that anyone cares about. He doesn’t have any real expertise in college sports, football specifically.

What he is an expert on is pushing people’s buttons in a way those people don’t seem to understand their buttons have been pushed.

BGB began publishing lists of top programs, top players, top fanbases, etc. They would appear to be professional enough, but there were always some programs that were disrespected.

In some cases, those programs would respond with fervor on social media. They would retweet BGB’s posts and passionately explain why the guy was a moron who didn’t know what he was talking about.

Meanwhile, his posts were getting shared a lot and inspiring a lot of comments and interaction, all of which resulted in algorithms boosting his profile on the mediums he frequented.

Eventually, he figured out which programs were the most sensitive. Whether any Clemson fan wants to hear it or not, BGB figured out Tiger fans were easily triggered, and he took full advantage of them and any other fanbases that couldn't keep scrolling.

BGB doesn’t actually know anything about sports. He just knows how to manipulate people, and that’s the only quality he could possibly contribute to the CFP committee.
