Nolan Hauser

As good as the four previous players are, it’s the last one that Clemson Nation might be the most hungry to see.

The ironic thing is that he is the very last name on Clemson’s class on 247 when sorted by rating. This isn’t because he isn’t good – it’s because the rating services have very little regard for kicking specialists.

Clemson fans learned their lesson in 2024: never underestimate what a good kicker means to your team.

The Tigers struggled mightily on field goal and extra point attempts this season, so much so that many fans were calling for a kicker from the portal.

That won’t be necessary, because Nolan Hauser is on his way.

Hauser (pronounced Hoozer) is a record-setting kicker from Hough High School in Cornelius, North Carolina. He is a Tiger legacy and if there is one player in this class that you should bet the farm will be a starter in 2024, it’s Hauser.

  • 66 for 81 on field goals in his career at Hough, setting a national record for field goals made in a career
  • Career long of 53 yards
  • 59 of 69 kickoffs his senior season went for touchbacks

While Robert Gunn wasn’t able to find his stride on field goals, he did a decent job with kickoffs, and if he stays with the team in 2024, there is a good chance he will keep the kickoff job.

Hauser, however, will be immediately penciled in as the starting placekicker, and of all the players in the Spring Game, he might be the one fans will cheer for the most.
