Clemson is treating a conference foe ACC like Appalachian State through the first quarter.

The Tigers have dominated NC State in the first 15 minutes, gaining 222 yards with an impressive 145 coming on the ground. Philm Mafah is averaging 21.8 yards per rush, including his 38-yard bust for the second score of the touchdown of the game.

However, Mafah isn't the only one showing off his wheels. Cade Klubnik started the scoring frenzy by showing the nation he can make plays with his feet, too. He pulled the ball on a reed option play and took it up the middle for a 55-yard touchdown run, the longest of his career. Klubnik is having a really impressive performance, going 7/8 for 77 yards and two touchdowns.

The defense was unrelenting, holding the Wolfpack to 94 yards of offense and forcing two turnovers. They're bringing pressure against CJ Bailey, who's starting in place of the injured Grayson McCall. TJ Parker has already sacked Bailey for a 12-yard loss and leads the team with four tackles.
