Clemson made last night's game look much closer than it was. Between the 20s, the offense was dynamic, gaining 500 yards of total offense. However, of its six trips to the red zone, Clemson scored on only four attempts, and all were field goals.

A big reason Clemson had success was its punishing rushing attack, led by running back Phil Mafah. The Tigers outgained Florida State on the ground 265 yards to 22, with 154 yards coming from the senior back. That's why Mafah is this week's Tiger of the Week.

Although he couldn't get in the endzone, Mafah gave Clemson every opportunity to score. When the Seminoles were threatening in the fourth quarter, he broke off a 59-yard run to put Clemson in field goal range. And on the last drive of the game, it was Mafah who rushed on five consecutive plays to help run out the clock.

Last night was not only the most yards recorded for Mafah this season, but it was also the most attempts. He was the definition of a workhorse, carrying the rock 25 times — nine more than any game this season — averaging 6.2 yards per carry.
