Nick Eason

Eason’s current list of titles sounds like it should be announced by a herald when he enters the room. Associate Head Coach. Defensive Run Game Coordinator. Defensive Tackles Coach.

Eason played for the Tigers from 1999-2002. He was a team captain and All-ACC player. He was the first Clemson Football player to graduate with two seasons of eligibility remaining.

Eason was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the 4th round of the 2003 Draft. He played nine seasons for Cleveland, Pittsburgh, and Arizona. Following the conclusion of his playing career, he began coaching with the Browns.

He also spent time with Cincinnati and Tennessee before making the jump to college football with Auburn. Following one season, Eason returned to his alma mater for the 2022 season.

Eason has been a popular addition to the staff and has found success as a recruiter. The addition of associate head coach highlights the amount of leadership he has demonstrated since his arrival.

Eason might be the best candidate on the current staff who could continue the current culture of the program in Swinney’s absence.
