5 Coaches that Clemson Football should add to their staff

Dabo Swinney will soon be able to add more coaches to his staff. Here are five candidates that we think are no brainers.

DeAndre McDaniel

McDaniel has also been on the staff as a senior defensive assistant & assistant camp director for several years. He might be the first person on the support staff who should get the promotion to a full-time coach.

Like Stuckey, they would have to figure out where he fits. Current safeties coach, Mickey Conn, is also the co-defensive coordinator. They could simply take the safety coach position and give it to McDaniel.

Honestly, more people than McDaniel, Boyd, and Stoudt could have expanded roles when this rule change is confirmed. Tyrone Crowder could be much more active in helping Matt Luke with the offensive line. John Grass could play a role in the offense. Corey Crawford could assist Nick Eason and Chris Rumph.

Maybe I’m wrong and there could be too many cooks in the kitchen. Still, it seems to me that as long as there are clear lines of seniority and organization (which appears to be one of Swinney’s strengths as a program leader) this can only boost the developmental capabilities of the Clemson Football coaching staff.

The reality is that if Swinney is already planning where he will go with this once the vote is taken by the NCAA, he probably has other names on his mind we can’t even imagine yet.
