5 Clemson Football players we missed out on in EA Sports College Football

Clemson Football fans were robbed of playing with some of the greatest Tigers of all time because of EA Sports College Football's hiatus during one of the most successful eras in the program's history.

Hunter Renfrow

When I sat down and listed my top players for this post, I originally included Tee Higgins, and he wouldn’t have been a bad addition. I would probably have him listed at 6th if I extended this list. I had to reconsider his inclusion in the top five for one reason.

There would have been no better super weapon in EA Sports College Football than the video game equivalent of 3rd and Renfrow.

Renfrow’s reputation for being one of the most reliable pass catchers in college football started as a freshman when he brought in the first two touchdown catches thrown by Watson in the 2015 National Championship. He followed that up with clutch catches the next season against Auburn and Troy when the rest of the offense was still trying to get their sea legs.

Having Renfrow on third down in the video game would have essentially been a cheat code. If he ever dropped a reception for a first-down conversion, I completely missed it. Renfrow on your offense in this game would basically mean you would never have to punt the ball. Just find a play with Renfrow crossing shallow in the middle and you have the first down.
