No. 3: Clemson Football at Virginia Tech Hokies

The Hokies haven’t been major contenders in the ACC for a few years but last season they showed some signs of life. Quarterback Kyron Drones had 2,000+ passing yards and 800+ rushing yards. Tech finished fourth in the ACC last season.

Lane Stadium is not an easy place to play. The Virginia Tech fanbase is loud and hungry for a winner. After owning Clemson for the first few years they were in the ACC, the Tigers turned things around in the 2011 ACC Championship game and haven’t looked back since.

Outside of the final game against the Gamecocks, this matchup looks to be the best of the latter half of Clemson’s season. Tech has a huge game at Miami at the end of September. If they win there, they could be undefeated when the Tigers visit Blacksburg.

Most likely destination: Georgia at Ole Miss – Lane Kiffin will need to hold up his end of the bargain, but if the transfers help the Rebels get over the hump and they emerge victorious against LSU and Oklahoma in the weeks preceding this game, GameDay will be in Oxford.

Other options: Alabama at LSU, Florida State at Notre Dame
